Zvezdin Besarabov has been working on various research projects for the past four years, including a handwriting machine integrated into the manufacturing pipeline of Wacom, cryptocurrency forecasts, and the automated creation of AI solutions, integrated into the startup ScyNet. These projects have been recognized and awarded at events such as ICYS 2018, Intel ISEF 2018 and 2019, and EUCYS 2019. This success led him to receive the annual "John Atanasoff" distinction twice from the Bulgarian president.

This experience also enabled him to become one of the youngest lecturers at his country's Software University, where he organized the first Blockchain class. Among the 200 graduates, some went on to form startups, such as Hack bg. Most recently, he spoke at the Arch Linux Conf about privacy-preserving OSS tools and at UNESCO in Paris about designing sustainable educational systems.
